NPAC Presents: “Nashville on the Road” Songwriter Night Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 pm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - “Nashville on the Road” comes to Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 pm with performances by hit songwriters Victoria Shaw, Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman, and Jim Photoglo.

 

Four of Nashville’s best songwriters come together on the NPAC stage to tell the stories behind some of Country music’s top hits. Collectively, this group of talented songwriters has written over 30 number one hits plus many others.

 

Throughout the evening the writers will give their own renditions of their hits, such as Victoria Shaw’s “The River,” recorded by Garth Brooks; Gary Burr’s “Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” recorded by Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera; Georgia Middleman’s “I’m In,” recorded by Keith Urban; and Jim Photoglo’s “Fishin In the Dark,” recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This special evening is sure to provide audiences with a true Nashville experience by giving the audience an exclusive behind the scenes look at how some of their favorite songs were crafted by the writers themselves.

 

“Nashville on the Road” comes to Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) in historic downtown Greeneville, TN on Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $30 for orchestra level seating, $25 for mezzanine level seating, and $20 for balcony level seating. Gary Burr is a member of the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame. He has written 14 number one songs. His collaborators have included Carole King, Ringo Starr and Desmond Child.

 

Jim Photoglo first hit the airwaves in 1980 as a recording artist landing high on the Pop charts with his songs “We Were Meant To Be Lovers” and “Fool in Love With You.”  A short time later, he moved to Nashville and established himself as a hit songwriter with 2 number one songs.
 

As a songwriter, Georgia Middleman has had songs recorded by Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Joe Nichols, Martina McBride, Sheila E., Radney Foster, Sarah Buxton, Terri Clark, Maia Sharp and many others. She is also one third of the trio, Blue Sky Riders, along with Kenny Loggins and Gary Burr.

NBC's "The Voice" Season One Contestant and Country Rock Rebel Jared Blake Releases his Official "Stomp" Music Video Today, October 13

 
 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (October 13, 2014) – Hot on the heels of his “Til Morning Light” EP release, NBC’s “The Voice” season one contestant Jared Blake announced this weekend while hosting Sirius XM The Highway’s “On the Horizon” show, the release of his official music video“Stomp” for todayMonday 13, 2014. The video will make its national television debut on ZUUS Country TV WednesdayOctober 15 at 10:30 a.m..

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (October 13, 2014) – Dubbed by The Miami Herald as "The next artist to emerge on the country music scene from Miami since The Mavericks," Cuban Country artist Sammy Arriaga is following his release of his debut single Lighter Up,” by hitting the road this year with big-name Country acts including Trace Adkins, Cassadee Pope, Love and Theft, Corey Smith and now Jana Kramer. Bringing his Latin-infused style toMorgantown W. Va., Arriaga is set to kick off the night's performances at Schmitt's Saloon and Davisson Brothers Music Hall on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 8 p.m..

 

Through his partnership with Eckrich meats, Arriaga is also giving fans the opportunity to experience his unique Country sound by releasing free downloads of songs from his upcoming EP accompanied by a live acoustic video.
